Award 2025

Monsoon Architecture Awards were instituted as part of the Living Monsoon program of the Indian Institute of Architects, Cochin Centre. The aim of the awards is to bring recognition to recent best projects of the Monsoon Climatic Regions of the world. Projects are invited from Architects world-wide, who have done exemplary works in the Monsoon Climatic region, designs for which are resilient and sensitive to Climate, Environment and Society.

Eminent Jury of international repute will evaluate participating projects. The Awards will be presented at the Monsoon Architecture Festival in 28/29 March, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Participating Architects shall be members of the recognized Council or Association or Institute or Society of Architects in their country of practice
  • Projects should be located in the Tropical Monsoon or Tropical Rainforest regions of the world (ref: Koppen Geiger Climate Classification) and shall be completed in the last 5 years (1st April 2019-present)
  • Projects submitted for previous Monsoon Architecture Awards should not be submitted.
  • Winner(s) will be invited to present their winning entry at the Monsoon Architecture Festival scheduled for 28th/29th March 2025 at Kochi (Kerala, India). Cash awards for winner(s) are subject to in person participation at the Monsoon Architecture Festival 2025.

Therefore Architects making entry submissions should have the copyright to the material they submit.
