YOSSAPON BOONSOM

Ar. Yossapon Boonsom is a practising landscape architect from Thailand. He is the co- founding director of SHMA Company Limited established in 2007. The firm has worked on numerous residential, institutional, hospitality as well as public works. Their projects have been shortlisted in the WAF in 2012 and 2013. SHMA’s research works focuses on the planning and regeneration of city development for the future such as the ‘Water City- 2050 Ultra Flood Plain’ which aim to propose how people could live with water in the most imaginary way in response to the current severe flooding issue in Ayuthaya province of Thailand. Aside from SHMA design practice, ShmaSoEn – Shma Social and Environment (ShmaSoEn) was established in 2014 as a social enterprise that focuses on public space design by aiming to create innovative spaces through methods such as inclusive participatory design and dialogues amongst stakeholders. www.shmadesigns.com
