ANDRA MATIN

Isandra Matin Ahmad is a contemporary Indonesian architect. His firm AndraMatin, is known for clean, modern creations that attempt to use space in a way that reflects and is sensitive to its environment. Upon inspection, these deceptively simple, straightforward buildings represent a sophisticated interplay of internal and external boundaries and contain subtle ambiguities that imbue them with a certain underlying tension and dynamism. AndraMatin (Aang) is one of the founders of ArsitekMuda Indonesia (Young Architects of Indonesia, AMI), which has greatly influenced the progress of architecture in Indonesia.
